I am an independent professional based in Iași, in NE Romania. I started my freelancing adventure in 2018 to work closely with healthcare professionals – clinicians and scholars – and with colleagues from Romania and abroad. I found it so interesting and rewarding that I decided to commit to it fully.

I have over 23 years of experience in English for Specific Purposes, focusing on medical terminology, clinical communication, and health sciences. For 18 years, I taught English for medical and academic purposes full-time at university, while also conducting related research and participating in EU-funded projects.

I am an accredited OET exam preparation partner and a certified medical translator. I also hold a TESOL certification in designing online teaching. My educational background includes a PhD in Education Sciences, a Master’s in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and a Bachelor’s in Geography and English.

I am an active member of IATEFL (ESPSIG, BESIG, PronSIG), EALTHY, and TESOL. Sharing my expertise in talks, workshops, and webinars through these international associations always brings me a lot of joy.

My work is about quality results through authentic connection and effective processes.

Hurry slowly is my mantra, especially nowadays. I always start by seeking to understand the specific context and needs of a potential client or collaborator. I get involved only if I am confident that I can help in a practical, meaningful way to make sure we get the job done properly – successfully, efficiently, enjoyably.
