I provide specialized English language courses and training, (medical) translation and editing, educational advisory, research and development services. I am also an accredited OET exam preparation provider. My core professional values are authenticity, honesty, creativity, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

My registered name is CRETU R. IOANA PERSOANA FIZICA AUTORIZATA and yes, I also have an EU VAT-number.

I hold an MA in Applied Linguistics and TEFL Methodology, as well as a PhD in Educational Sciences from the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, Romania. I have 20+ years of experience teaching English for general, academic, scientific and professional (medical) purposes full time at the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iași, and then on my own, as a freelancer. I participated in 10+ EU-funded projects as a researcher, teacher, trainer, developer, and team coordinator. I am a published scientific (co)author and a TESOL certified online teaching program developer. I am also a member of local, Romanian, and international professional associations (RATE/MATE, TESOL, IATEFL, EALTHY, EAQUALS).

Note: In the videos, which I filmed in 2018, I mention an online platform and app. As of October 2021, due to advances in e-learning technologies, I have changed my approach from using one tool to using many, and I am reconsidering my options regarding the use of an integrated online platform.
